Welcome to Primrose School of Silicon Forest! I am proud to bring high-quality preschool and child care to young children and families in the Hillsboro, Oregon community.I have been working in early childhood education for 29 years, and I love the sense of community a school creates and the foundations we build for children’s learning. My priority is to provide a safe, inclusive and fun environment for children to learn and grow. Being a franchise owner gives me the opportunity to be more hands on in creating that environment for children.
Since I was a little girl, I wanted to be a teacher. My mom taught me a lot about the joy of caring for infants with empathy. I received my Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Development and Family Studies and even taught lessons within my courses to other students, sharing my hands-on experiences, which sparked my passion for leadership. I began my career as a teacher, working with children from infancy through elementary school. For the past 12 years, I’ve focused on supporting teachers with education and curriculum.
I have six nieces and nephews who are my whole world. Besides spending time with them, I enjoy photography, traveling, on and off Broadway shows, reading and the coast. I also enjoy supporting the community. Primrose has given me more opportunities to do this with our Primrose Promise Giving Events and Adopt-A-Grandparent program.
At Primrose, we believe who children become is as important as what they know. Our exclusive early learning approach balances purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion. We deliver more than a curriculum; it’s a life-changing experience for children and their families.
