Our Preschool Pathways Classroom
Our Preschool Pathways program provides a “bridge” between our Early Preschool and Preschool classrooms for children whose birthdays will ultimately miss the cutoff date for kindergarten entrance. By identifying those children early, we can help them stay with a consistent group of peers through preschool, pre-K and kindergarten.

Health & Safety
Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
- Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
- Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
- Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
- Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
- Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
- Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
- Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Meet Ms. Kelly Burkhalter – A Dedicated Educator with a Heart for Early Learning! ❤️📚
We are beyond lucky to have Ms. Kelly Burkhalter as part of our Primrose School of East Allen teaching team! 🎉 With an incredible 18+ years of childcare experience—15 of those years with Primrose Schools—she brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and dedication to her classroom every day.
As an Early Preschool Teacher, Ms. Kelly’s heart is truly in helping young children learn, grow, and discover their potential. She has worked with children of all ages but has a special place in her heart for early learners, guiding them through their milestones and building a strong foundation for success. 🌱✨
Her commitment to shaping young minds has only grown stronger over the years, and she is thrilled to continue her journey at Primrose. She looks forward to partnering with families to create a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment where children thrive!

🌟 Meet Ms. Ashley – Toddler Teacher 🌟
Hello! My name is Ms. Ashley, and I’ve been a proud member of the Primrose School of East Allen teaching team since April 2025 🏫. I absolutely love being a Early Preschool teacher 👶💛—it brings me so much joy to work with our youngest learners and help shape their bright, curious minds into the leaders of tomorrow 🌱✨.
I’m passionate about making a positive impact in each child’s life, whether it’s through teaching 📚, playing 🎨, or simply being a trusted and nurturing presence in their day 🤗. I’m known for being friendly, playful, and always eager to try new things that enrich the classroom experience 🌈🎶.
In addition to my daily work with the children, I’m also committed to continuing my own education in early childhood development 🎓📖. I’ve been around children for as long as I can remember! I started helping in child care around age 12 and later gained almost two years of hands-on experience working with one-year-olds. Watching little ones grow and learn is truly my joy 💛
