Our Preschool Classroom
Your 3-year-old is opening up their world, developing special friendships, learning new words and forming new ideas every day. Through purposeful play, meaningful questions and direct instruction, our Preschool teachers encourage your child to think in new and different ways. Your child will have so much fun that they won’t even realize they’re developing the skills they’ll need for reading and math.

Our Preschool Classroom Teachers & Staff

Ms. Paula Arnold
My name is Paula Arnold, and I’m delighted to be your child’s preschool teacher this year. In the classroom, I go by Ms. Arnold, and I’ve had the pleasure of working in early childhood education for just over seven years. Throughout this time, I’ve found that each day brings new opportunities to learn, laugh, and grow alongside bright, curious young minds.
I’m a proud San Diego native, and my background is rooted in a love for stories, language, and discovery — passions I now bring into the classroom through books, conversations, and playful learning. My goal is to create a classroom that feels like a second home: safe, joyful, and full of opportunities to grow, explore, and be themselves.
When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll likely find me at the park with my dog and a good book, cooking up new recipes at home, or diving into a PC game for some fun. I’m also a lifelong book collector — I believe there’s a perfect story for every moment and every child.
In my teaching, I focus on connection, kindness, and curiosity. I believe children learn best when they feel seen, heard, and encouraged to ask questions, take risks, and celebrate their wins (big or small!). I also value open, ongoing communication with families — we’re a team, and I’m here to support you and your child every step of the way.
I can’t wait to meet each of you and kick off a wonderful year together. Here’s to a preschool year filled with laughter, learning, and lots of new adventures!”

Mrs. Leah Stokes
My name is Leah Stokes, and I am so excited to have joined the Primrose family as the Lead Preschool 2 teacher! I’ve been working in Early Childhood education for over 3 years and have spent most of my time in the 2-3 age range. I absolutely love this age! They are so unabashedly themselves, and hearing their thoughts and ideas is just the best!
I firmly believe in curriculum at school, with a nice mix of fun activities! I think having that balance is so important for their growth and I just love the way Primrose handles that in their curriculum plans.
A little about my personal life: My family moved here from SoCal on February 18th! We are loving it so far! I have 3 kids of my own at home, and we are a huge sports family! My daughter plays club soccer, my two sons play baseball, and I play slow pitch softball twice a week! We also love the water and are very excited to check out the local lakes. We love staying busy!
I already adore the kiddos so much, and I look forward to continuing to get to know them throughout the year. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out! Thank you for all you do to help foster the education of these littles. It makes all the difference in the world! I’ll see you at school!
