Education Coach

My name is Ms. Huston and I am the Education Coach at Primrose Walnut Creek. I have four years of childcare experience, starting at a Primrose School in Jacksonville, Florida. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the children reach their milestones as they develop throughout their younger years. If I could teach the children one thing, it would be to not allow their sadness or anger to keep them from experiencing life and making friends.

Lead Infant II Teacher

My name is Ms. Hammond, and I am the Lead Teacher in the Infant II classroom. I am from Ft. Worth, and I have been working with children for longer than I can remember. Being a mother of three adult children, as well as being a grandmother to three grandchildren has given me all the experience needed to teach children. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my children who I am super proud of, spending quality time with my grandbabies, drawing and making gift baskets. Working at Primrose has been a very rewarding experience for me. I love the learning process and seeing the babies’ eyes light up when they learn something new. The thing I am excited most about this year is getting to interact with all of the babies and getting to know the families and staff at this school.

Franchise Owners

Steven and Nadine Franklin

Steven and Nadine Franklin are the franchise owners of Primrose School of Walnut Creek. They have been married for 28 years and are the proud parents of three and grandparents of four. They are childhood sweethearts who met as kids in Harlem, New York, where they were neighbors living within the same building.

Nadine Franklin’s journey in early childhood development is a testament to her unwavering dedication. She has over 30 years of experience in this career path, with 20 of those years spent as a devoted member of Primrose. Her journey began in 2003 at the Primrose School of Walnut Creek, where she started as a teacher, nurturing the development of Preschool and Pre-K students. Her commitment and passion led to her promotion as the education coach of a sister school (Primrose School of Grand Peninsula) and later as the Director, a role she held for fourteen years. Nadine’s leadership qualities shone brightly as the Director of Primrose School of Grand Peninsula. She was not just a leader but a devoted and decisive one, recognized by franchise owners Sherman and Jamie Hatch, staff, and families alike. Her commitment to the safety and development of children, coupled with her ability to manage a well-coordinated staff, was instrumental in achieving the Primrose mantra that “we believe who children become is as important as what they know.” During the transition to ownership, Nadine returned to PSWC as Director, building a solid team that would play a meaningful role in the success of her new franchise-owner role. Due to her in-depth knowledge of Primrose operations, policies, procedures, and relationships with families, combined with her experience in state compliances, Nadine is confident that as a franchise owner, she will continue and expand on the successes of her predecessors.

Steven Franklin has 28 years of experience as an IT and Business Implementation Consultant and over 29 years in Telecommunications. Steven will leverage his experience and knowledge of business and process improvement methods to assist Nadine in navigating market and consumer dynamics.
