Our Toddler Classroom

An action-packed day full of fun and purposeful play helps toddlers develop Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts®. We know 1-year-olds are constantly on the move, exploring and learning through play at every turn. Primrose teachers use that energy and enthusiasm to foster cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills through engaging games and activities.

Health & Safety

Their health & safety. Our top priority.

Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

  • Requiring any children or staff with fever to return home and stay home until fever-free for at least 24 hours
  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
  • Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
  • Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
  • Individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
  • Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access
  • Monthly emergency drills so children and staff are prepared for emergencies

I’m Ms. Ebony and I am so excited to be your teacher this year!

Experience: With over 12 years of experience in the childcare field, I have had the joy of working with children of all ages, from infants through 12-year-olds.

Education: My background includes certifications in Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and School-Age education, along with extensive related training, allowing me to support each child’s development at every stage.

I am passionate about watching children grow, learn, and truly enjoy life. The love and energy they bring each day make this work incredibly rewarding. One of my favorite children’s books, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, reflects the fun and curiosity that inspire meaningful learning experiences.

Christmas is my favorite time of year. I love decorating my home and spending cozy moments with family watching movies. I also enjoy celebrating Easter and Thanksgiving, especially as opportunities to come together and create lasting memories. Family traditions and quality time during the holidays are especially meaningful to me.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy running my small business where I create handmade jewelry and crafts. This creative outlet allows me to express my artistic side and bring a personal touch to everything I make.

Hi! I’m Ms. Melissa. I can’t wait to learn more about you and your family.

Experience: I bring over 14 years of experience working in child care centers, supporting children of all ages and helping them grow and thrive each day.

Education: High School Diploma; Infant & Toddler Certified

One of my favorite parts of working with children is spending time with each and every child and making a positive difference in their lives. I love seeing their smiling faces each day and knowing they are the future of tomorrow. My favorite children’s book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, is a wonderful story that highlights growth and change.

Christmas is my favorite holiday, and I especially enjoy family traditions like camping and spending quality time together.

At home, I have two dogs—Diesel, an English Mastiff, and Jane, a Rottweiler. In my free time, I love spending time with my family. I have three daughters and one granddaughter, and we enjoy camping and traveling to West Virginia to visit relatives. One of my daughters is in the Navy, and we love visiting her whenever we can!

Our family would love to meet yours.
