Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Small Group Math: The Season of Giving!

Small Group Math: The Season of Giving! This month in Preschool, our Small Group Math lesson is all about giving and helping those in need. Our young learners are exploring what it means to share kindness by taking a closer look inside their Giving Box. Students will use their math skills to sort the donated food items by shape and size, making connections between real-world giving and classroom learning. Once all the items are sorted, the children will count the total amount of food collected—turning math time into a meaningful act of generosity. It’s a wonderful way for our preschoolers to practice counting, categorizing, and most importantly, compassion!#primroseproud

Little Art Masters

Today at the Primrose School of North Edison, we explored the book Apple Picking Time by Michele Benoit Slawson, beautifully illustrated by Deborah Kogan Ray. We learned that the illustrator is the person who creates the artwork in a storybook. The illustrations help bring the story to life and make it easier for us to understand and imagine what’s happening. After our discussion, we used an exciting art technique called blow painting to create our own illustrations of apple trees. The children loved watching the paint spread with their breath to form branches and leaves—just like real artists bringing a story to life through art!#primroseproud

Our small group literacy

Our small group literacy lessons are all about discovering the wonders of the letter Ee. The children are becoming experts at identifying the letter by listening to the phonics chant, which teaches them the different sounds of the letter E. They're also getting hands-on experience by tracing the uppercase letter E and describing the feel of the surface, whether it's smooth or rough.
