Many 2-year-olds want to do everything by themselves. And why not? It’s their way of experimenting and learning to understand the world. Early Preschool teachers provide a safe, nurturing environment where your child can explore and stretch their talents to the fullest all while building self-confidence. Your child will have fun every day as they play and learn important academic skills, social skills and more.

Health & Safety
Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
- Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
- Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
- Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
- Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
- Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
- Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
- Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access
Our Early Preschool Classroom Teachers & Staff

Ms. Lakaya Smith
Ms. Lakaya Smith is from Grand Prairie, TX. She comes to Primrose with years of experience working young children. She has been with Primrose School of N.E. Green Oaks since 2023. She is currently one of our Early Preschool Teachers. Ms. Smith’s favorite food is pizza and wings! On the weekends her favorite thing to do is read and also spend time with friends and family. Her favorite children’s books are the Junie B. Jones Series by Barbara Park and Ramona and Beezus by Beverly Clearly. The Primrose Character that she most relates to is Og the Bookworm because they both love to read!
I am so excited to get know all my students and become the best teacher I can be!– Ms. Smith!

Ms. Guadalupe Olivares
Ms. Guadalupe Olivares is originally from Mexicali, Baja California in Northern Mexico. Ms. Olivares has previous experience working with children of all ages as a nutritionist and is one of our Early Preschool Teachers. Ms. Olivares’s favorite foods are Quesadilla, French fries, pasta, and sandwiches. On the weekends she loves movie night and hiking with her friends and family. Her favorite children’s book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. The Primrose Character that she most relates to is Molly the Cow as the both know the importance of treating other with Respect and Kindness.
I love working with kids and am so excited get to know each of our wonderful students and helping them grow and learn.
