Our Preschool Classroom
Your 3-year-old is opening up their world, developing special friendships, learning new words and forming new ideas every day. Through purposeful play, meaningful questions and direct instruction, our Preschool teachers encourage your child to think in new and different ways. Your child will have so much fun that they won’t even realize they’re developing the skills they’ll need for reading and math.

Our Preschool Classroom Teachers & Staff

Manuela Netto
Hey! My name is Manuela, I am from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and I go by Manu. I have lived in three countries, but as you might guess, my first language is Portuguese.
Regarding my education, I graduated from UNT with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. Eventually, I want to go back to Brazil and pursue a career in Neuropsychology, where I plan to have my own practice to work on the rehabilitation of cognitive impairments caused by brain injuries.
I previously worked as an equine therapist assistant, and it was amazing to see the children improving their cognitive skills after every session. Kids are so special because it is during childhood that the brain is the most flexible to form meaningful neural connections, and it is our responsibility as adults (and teachers) to make sure that the kiddos grow up in a rich environment to stimulate their development. That is why I am so happy be a part of Primrose Lantana and help kids in their journey to becoming the best version of themselves.

Jillianrose Urquidi-Juarez
Hello! My name is Jillianrose; I also go by Jillian, and I’m from El Paso Texas. I graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 2023 with a bachelors in Social Work. I am currently working towards a graduate degree in Education with a concentration in Autism Intervention! I have been working in childcare since 2021. My experience ranges from preschool to working with individuals in special education. In the future I want to have my own daycare/preschool that offers a space for all students, both with and without disabilities.
In my free time I enjoy painting, coloring, reading poetry books and playing with my Chihuahua, Cricket. Any chance I get I love to go back home and visit and spend time with my family. Some of my favorite holidays are Halloween and Christmas.
I am very excited to be a part of the Primrose Lantana team and join these kiddos on their early education journey!

Ella Douglass
Hello! My name is Ella Douglass and I am so excited to be a preschool teacher here at Lantana! I was a toddler teacher at a Primrose in Oklahoma and the infant teacher at Primrose of Hickory Creek. I grew up in Morocco but moved to Denton from New York to get my degree in psychology from UNT. I hope to be a play therapist and work with younger kids once I graduate! My favorite part of working with kids is watching them feel proud of themselves after they learned something new! In my free time I love to read, bake, knit, and travel. I am so happy to be here and can’t wait to get to know all of the kids and families!

Andrea Netto
Hi there!
My name is Andrea, and I am originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I moved to the US in early 2020 due to my husband’s job transfer. I have been married for 32 years and have a 29-year-old son and a 24 year-old-daughter. My family and I also lived in Mexico for four years, when I seized the opportunity to study and learn about its culture.
I have worked as an early childhood teacher for more than 20 years, but Education was not my first career choice. I started a major in Engineering, but switched and got my degree in Business Administration. It was not until I had my kids that I realized what really fulfilled me; nurturing children and helping them develop their skills is my passion. I am currently working towards my Master’s degree in Neuroscience.
My hobbies include reading, crafting, taking care of my plants, and spending time with my family.
I feel so blessed for having found Primrose of Lantana and being welcomed by leadership, children, and their families.

I have also been babysitting my nieces and nephews for a few years now. My favorite part about taking care of children is watching them grow as well as creating a comforting environment for them. I have lived in North Texas my whole life. My family is from Mexico so I do love to visit, and I enjoy spending time with them. I am excited to meet and learn about your little ones!

I have previously taught in Kindergarten and 1st grade classrooms and worked as a music teacher in a day school.

I’m so honored and excited to return to early childhood education and to help your children learn about and explore the world!
