Ms. Kathy
Ms. Kathy
Director

Ms. Kathy grew up in Hollywood, Florida and moved to Pennsylvania after she graduated from the University of Florida and the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education.

While in Pennsylvania she worked at a NAEYC accredited Childcare center for 32 years.  She began her career as an assistant teacher, became a lead preschool teacher, and then spent 10 years as the preschool and kindergarten curriculum coordinator.  During her last 9 years there, she was the assistant director.  In January of 2022, she decided to move back home to South Florida and after a lot of research, happily accepted the position of Director of Primrose School of Cooper City.  She holds her Florida Director’s Credential (VPK Endorsed).

Family is very important to her, and she is the proud mother of 2 wonderful young men and many furry children.

Ms. Kathy is passionate about early care and education, and firmly believes in the Primrose motto, “We believe who children become is as important as what they know”.  She is excited to continue her career at Primrose and looks forward to watching your children grow and thrive.

Ms. Allison
Ms. Allison
Education Coach

Allison joined the Primrose Family in 2022 bringing with her 30 years of early childhood and elementary education experience. After receiving a Bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University in Massachusetts and a Master of Science degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the Bank St. College of Education, Allison worked at P.S. 6, a premier New York City public school, both as a teacher and in leadership roles.  After a move to the suburbs, she continued her career working as an assistant director and director of two different Early Childhood Centers.  Allison “retired” and moved to Florida but missed seeing the children and then found Primrose School of Cooper City!

Allison knows first-hand how important it is for children to have positive early childhood experiences and build a strong foundation to start their education.  She spends most of her time at Primrose supporting and collaborating with the teachers but by far the favorite part of her day is being in the classrooms with the children and seeing the smiles on their faces as they learn something new.

Allison and her husband, Neil, are the proud parents of 2 almost “grown-and-flown” sons.

Anne Bruckner; Jonathan Bruckner

Welcome to the Primrose School of Cooper City!

The Bruckner’s are the proud owners and operators of the Primrose School of Cooper City. Long term residents of the Fort Lauderdale area, the Bruckner’s have two beautiful children, a love for family and a passion for community. They are thrilled to bring the Primrose experience, offering premier early education, and care, to families in the Cooper City area. Anne completed her B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southern University, she has her Staff and VPK endorsed Director’s credentials and has served the field of early childhood education for over 20 years in Florida and California. Jonathan has held various executive level leadership roles at Tiffany & Company for the past 29 years, including Vice President of the Southwest and Southeast, Vice President and General Manager of Latin America and Trade, and most recently Vice President of Operations for the Americas. Jonathan holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the College of Charleston and studied sales performance at NorthWestern University- Kellogg School of Management.

The Bruckner’s love for Primrose started in Tampa, Florida where their nieces attended Primrose School of South Tampa; they were so impressed with the level of care and education provided to the children. After a few months of their nieces attending Primrose, their parents weren’t the only ones who started to notice their development. Everyone surrounding the family was also impressed with the improvement of their social, emotional and cognitive skills. The Bruckners indeed took note of Primrose.

When the Bruckners moved to South Florida in 2013, they struggled to find quality care for their daughters. This was the motivation and passion that inspired them to open their own Primrose so that they could provide this level of high-quality education in South Florida. With Anne’s experience as an early childcare educator, she knew that Primrose Schools was the right partner because the Primrose curriculum represents the best for young students and the culture matched their personal family values and leadership beliefs. The Bruckners also knew that Cooper City area was known for quality schools and they knew that Primrose would be well received in the area.

The Primrose philosophy that “who children become is as important as what they know,” is a belief that is at the core of the Primrose Balanced Learning approach. This Philosophy helped the Bruckners make the decision to join Primrose and for Anne and Jonathan to operate the Primrose School of Cooper City. The exclusive early learning approach balances purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion.

Along their journey, they continue to be amazed by Primrose’s outstanding and comprehensive approach to education. The accredited curriculum is paired alongside enrichment and character development programs, balancing purposeful play with nurturing guidance. The Bruckners truly believe in the importance of early literacy, and are proud of the Primrose Schools partnerships with many local and national non-profit organizations, including Save the Children, Reach Out and Read, MN Safe Kids Coalition, Gillette Children’s Hospital and many more. They believe that the partnerships with these organizations will be forever valuable in teaching children that no matter how big or small, we all stand to make a difference in the world. They believe so strongly in the power of their community, and they believe Primrose will continue to grow leaders.

“We enjoy seeing and hearing the success of children who have experienced the foundation that a Primrose education provides,” says Anne Bruckner. The Bruckner’s passion for children and education is immense and their goal is to build trusted relationships that provide peace of mind knowing that a child’s experience at Primrose School of Cooper City is a choice to be very proud of.

“We deliver more than a curriculum; it’s a life-changing early learning experience for children and their families. We are very excited to welcome you and your family into our Primrose School!” – Anne Bruckner
